St. George Church

St. George Catholic Church is a new church with a traditional Catholic appearance. This 14,100 SF addition to the existing parish hall includes the sanctuary, offices, a sacristy, cry room, confessionals, large narthex area, and additional toilet rooms.

Though it will replace the congregation’s existing historic facility, the rich history of the older building will be reflected in the new building. The stained glass windows from the old church will be relocated to the new facility, which will seat 400. A drop-off canopy and expanded parking add to the sensibility of the new church. Additional remodeling in the parish hall is planned to allow for a kitchen expansion in the future.

 In 2003, TSP completed the first office addition for POET (formerly known as Broin and Associates). Though that addition doubled the facility’s space, within three years the organization had outgrown the addition. A second addition designed by TSP increased square footage to 78,000.

The facility featured a two-story central atrium, which will serve as the main entrance and focal point. The atrium includes an open lobby, technology center, 160-seat conference center, large employee break room, and management offices. A flexible design was achieved in the open office areas by using raised access floors. Systems furniture rather than fixed-wall offices were used for flexibility.
